What to expect from a lesson

Beginner lessons usually last two to three hours, with a wetsuit, soft foam board and safety equipment included. You will start on the sand, learning how to paddle, catch a wave and stand up, as well as how to stay safe and spot rip currents. Then you will head into the shallow water to practise. Many people stand up in their first lesson.
